Sometimes games will run from PoL shortcuts but not from the wine command, and other times the other way. How does PoL launch the desktop shortcuts?

I'm not totally sure, but you can always click "debug" when launching a game in PlayOnLinux and it will output all of the commands to run the game.

Also, in your /home/username/.PlayOnLinux/shortcuts directory may have some files you can edit...
