Hi,

I posted an update for the ElsterFormular installer here:

ElsterFormular is a software from the German financel administration for filing tax returns.

Can someone please approve the script?

Hi Michael,

I used Elsterformular on PlayonLinux for some time. Yesterday I wanted to do my Umsatzsteuer-Voranmeldung after Elster downloaded some updates. On loading the new Umsatzsteuer-Voranmeldung Elsterformular and PlayonLinux crashed.

I saved my former installation and tried your script. Elster now offers an msi file instead of the former exe file. I have to install the ElsterFormularKomplett.msi. Your installation script crashed with this. I tried it several times on Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS, PlayonLinux 4.2.12. As soon as I chose the ElsterFormularKomplett.msi, the installation crashes.

Now I tried to install ElsterFormular with the unknown program option und used the default options with ElsterFormularKomplett.msi and it just went fine. PlayonLinux installed Elsterformular without any complications and I could make my Umsatzsteuer-Voranmeldung just in time.

One little problem is left. PlayonLinux start Elsterformular only with the directory of the program not with the program directly. The same is true for the desktop icon. The desktop icon file has

Exec=/usr/share/playonlinux/playonlinux --run "ElsterFormular" %F

It opens the Elsterformular directory. How should I configure the command to start ElsterFormular directly?

thanks for your feedback. Can you please try the installer from here: https://www.playonlinux.com/en/app-1838-ElsterFormular.html (Wednesday 31 May 2017 at 23:40) and report back if it works for you.

Sadly the playonlinux team doesn't reply to anything here :(

Hi Michael,

 

the work on Phoenicis PlayOnLinux 5 is draining pretty much all our resources currently. Moreover the notifications in the forum could need some improvements to say the least. I hope this explains a bit the missing feedback.

As for ElsterFormular, we have a version for Phoenicis PlayOnLinux 5 already (see https://github.com/PlayOnLinux/Scripts/tree/master/Applications/Office/ElsterFormular). Maybe you also want to try that one.

It may help many people if you approve the latest script in the ElsterFormular thread.

my problem is that I do not have the rights to approve scripts here (I've started working on PoL only since v5). Therefore I can only approve scripts for the new version on GitHub.
