Hi,

I do not understand why I am not able to play online with someone who is is connected on the same local network. The game we are trying to play is Age of empires III via steam. Both computers have ubuntu OS with playonlinux.

When we are trying to reach an online game, one AoEIII client can connect, but both at the same time can't to the Wan server.

If each computer are on a separated network everything is OK. Also, no problem if both computers have windows OS.

Regards,

FM

Are both of your computers trying to connect to an internet hosted game or just a local game with eachother?

I play a LOT of LAN games offline with PlayOnLinux... I've found that most games run just fine out-of-the-box.  I even change the IP addresses so my computers are offline.  I will host a game (like Titan Quest) with one computer then join with all the rest.  I rarely have problems as long as they are all patched to the same version.
