Hi,

I tried several guides but nothing worked for me.

Maybe the problem has to do with teh DE I am using.

The system I am using ...

After PoL was installed I started it and installed World of Tanks.

Soon I was able to start the launcher and upgraded the game up to date.

But starting the game didnt work at all instead it crashed.

I tried it a several times without success.

Then I unleashed the fury and denistalled the game followed by PoL itself and wine, including killing all directories.

I started new from scratch by resintalled all again.

Second time with EVE Online. But I didnt even get to start the launcher.

I would like to stick with it because I dont have to download as much to get forward step by step.

What distro are you using? (looks like a Debian derivative)

Also what are your hardware specs?

This error might be related to your problem:

err:wgl:has_opengl Failed to load libGL: libGL.so.1: Kann die Shared-Object-Datei nicht öffnen: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden
err:wgl:has_opengl OpenGL support is disabled.

I have never tested EVE Online but read that an update to World of Tanks broke Wine recently.

You might want to try some other simpler games to be sure your system can play games.

If OpenGL is disabling in Wine then there might be some missing or poor drivers running for your video card/chip
