Hello everybody,

I am doing my first experience on Linux, with Manjaro, and I am having a problem installing Battle.Net. (In order to install Heroes of the storm).

Indeed, after starting the BattleNet setup, the GUI freezes on “Updating Agent.exe”

I am using a 4.8.14-1-MANJARO x86_64.

The POL version used is the 4.2.10.

Below, the debugger log of the last try.

I tried to do some searches about p11-kit, and Wininet. But nothing seems to work.

Moreover, I did some searches about RtlSetHeapInformation, but I could not find anything about it.

Now, I do not really know how I could investigate more.

So I am here to find some help about this issue. Any suggestion will be welcome.

Thanks for reading me.

(Edit : I am sorry for the double A in the title frown)

See ya’

Greetings,

Try my post on installing Diablo 3 (dated 05-Jan-2017).  It will at least get Battle.net installed for you.  From there you can try Heros.

Hello RavonTUS,

It is ok for me with wine 2.0-rc3-staging and the "Enable_CSMT for better graphic performance" checked.

Note : In addition, I had to install lib32-ldap. [I am running Manjaro 16.10]

Heroes of the storm is now installing, so cool !

However, I still have some problems with the lib32-p11-kit. I do not know why, but, the debugger print frequently "p11-kit: couldn't load module"

Do you have the same problem with Diablo ?

Moreover, I can use the Battle.Net chat, but can not see what friends have sent to me, and what I have send to them.

Does it ring you a bell ?

In any case, thanks a lot for your post !

Cheers.

Hello everybody,

It was a little bit complicated for me.

Indeed, after HOTS was installed, it crashed after the startup.

But now it is ok. smiley

Here it is how I did :

First, I followed this tutorial with the 2.0-rc3-staging wine version and with "Enable_CSMT for better graphic performance" checked.
Then I installed HOTS.

To finish, once the game has been installed :

1) I have installed vcrun2015 with winetricks (winetricks -v vcrun2015... Or something like that, I do not remember exactly)

2) I have had to set "api-ms-win-crt-math-l1-1-0" and "ucrtbase" libraries at "Native" into winecfg.

And that's all folk !

Thanks once more RavonTUS.

Cheers !
