Hello,

I am trying to set up Age of Empires III: Asian Dynasties using PlayOnLinux and Steam. I am new to the linux world so you may have to explain in more detail to me then someone else. At this point, Steam seems to run fine and I have managed to download Age of Empires from steam.

When I launch Age of Empires, it half runs, half doesn't. I can hear the music fine; however, the graphics have trouble loading. I have read that Age of Empires often needs additional codecs to run successfully; however, I am not sure where I would put them (as I said, I am a newbie). Does anyone here have any advice on what codecs/files I should use to run this program? Do I just copy and paste them in a folder?

I have tried the direction sheet here: https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=29559 which doesn't seem to work. Do you have any additional ideas?

I am currently running Linux Mint 18 sarah, Wine 1.8, PlayOnLinux 4.2.10. My computer is a multi-boot MacBook Pro.

Thanks in advance for the advice.
