Hey guys I need your help I was enjoying a game of WOW last night on Wine 1.9.3 last night stereaming/downloading the files while in game than the next day the launcher needed to restart after a update and now the Battle.net launcher will not work at all.. This is the error I get trying to launch Battle.net also I tryed doing a fresh install reinstalling battle.net and still have the same issue.

The problem is that BattleNet uses vcrun2015 now, but POL doesn't support it yet.
Installing vcrun2015 via last winetricks fixed the problem.

I had the same problem and tried to apply the fix linked above but I'm unsure abou the paths as I haven't used bash much.
What does path/to/your/prefix mean and what should I write there? I placed the file itself in my home directory. Does that mean it's enough to write ~ for the second path?
I run ubuntu 14.04 btw. Cheers

Hmm, in my case I had also to add "api-ms-win-crt-convert-l1-1-0" to libraries in wine as prefer native (without it there was crash).

I also added the library you suggested but I get the same crash as before. That is to say I had the same error message even before update but then battle.net still ran anyway now it doesn't appear.
If I can't get this working it's not a big deal, but if anyone knows a solution let me know!

I finally got it working yaay! What worked for me was adding the librarys suggested in the other thread about battle.net and then downloading the dll files and following the instructions here https://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-bugs/2015-November/428425.html

It's really not needed to download dll's.
1) First you need to set the wine version to 1.9.15. The hearthstone script on PoL uses 1.8.2 by default and it won't work (I will update the script but only after we have a proper fix).
2) Then you have two options.
[a] Use winetricks to install vcrun2015.
OR
[b] Set the following dll overrides:
To do that: Configure wine -> Click Libraries and just add all of those above.

Set the following dll overrides solved the problem!! Thanks !!! Btw I don't know how to install vcrun2015 on playonlinux, since I have since vcrun2013!
