Got the above when trying to install PoL.  Previously saw similar dpkg error while prepping for pkg

download.  Just guessing 64 bit was expected.  Am I correct?

Good guess on my part. So I removed the file with the reference to foreign architecture in /etc/dpkg/dpkg.d

After that reran apt commands to install wine. But no launcher found, so I guessed again and found a hint to run the PoL installer, which ran just fine.  Might I suggest a little clarification editing after the bit about installing from GIT?  Unless a noob knows to search for "playonlinux" in the menu box, he probably will be stumped.

Installed my first app, N1MM Plus radio contest logger, which can use serial or usb connections to direct and capture information from the transceiver. i read eslewhere WINE does not do USB ports. Can it go to true hardware UARTs?   I have Mint 17.3 Rosa 64 talking to my StarTech 2-port PCIe card with moserial so making that work would be of great interest to radio amateurs worldwide, not just me.  Judging from the size of the log file I have lots to research to do but if you will kindly let me know about UARTs with WINE I am eager to pitch in and help.   best regards, chuck
