Hi POL Forum,

I'm running a Linux Mint 17 x86_64 kernel 3.13.0-37-generic on a Samsung notebook Intel i5 processor, 4Gb RAM, with integrated graphics Intel HD4000.

My POL version is 4.2.9 and I installed ACII using the POL script, which uses wine 1.5.3-ubisoft2.

My problem is: I can open the game, but it will not render correctly. I've tried many wine versions, and installed all directX related components: d3dx9, dxfullsetup, directx9. My drivers are up to date (mesa-utils), and I recently installed intel drivers from http://intellinuxgraphics.org

As you can see right on the images below, I can start the game but when it comes to rendering it got all weird:

This is the code when I run debug on POL:

Hi petch,

Man, you're always spot-on, aren't you? It was the lack of S3TC support, thanks a million!

For anyone having the same problem, here's what I did. First I used the code from the link petch gave:

glxinfo | grep GL_EXT_texture_compression_s3tc

that returned nothing, indicating the lack of S3TC support. Following the instructions on this link: http://askubuntu.com/questions/56379/is-there-an-easy-way-to-enable-s3tc-on-intel-graphics , I just installed libtxc-dxtn for 32-bits:

sudo apt-get install libtxc-dxtn-s2tc0:i386

And voilà! Thanks petch! smiley
