playonmac payday 2 help?

the bin folder opens like an application and does nothing

i opened steam with playonmac and installed Payday 2. When i try to run the game it opens steam under the application title "X11", and then an application opens titled "bin" and does nothing at all. not even a dot underneath it like any other app, it just says it's open. Am I missing something here? please help me, I really want to play Payday 2 :)
