Bug reports and threads gone?

What happen?

So I got GOG.com's Anno 1602, Anno 1503, and Anno 1701 today, ran a test through PlayOnLinux for all installers, and reported the bugs and my findings both on the bug report system and as threads. Without warning the threads have been removed. No explanation why, no email notification, no suggestion as to how I should report it instead.

The bugs are getting shot down by a mod as well.

Are you not interested in increasing the amount of games that are supported by PlayOnLinux? Are you not interested in fixing bugs with such games? Are you not interested in people trying to report their findings? What is going on here? I am baffled by the responses to my attempts to be helpful.

Explanation for closing down the bug reports are here:

Basically the bug tracker is not the right place for reporting issues with programs that have no install script.

The one about an existing script has been kept.

Same goes for your entries in the official repository of install scripts; You may create entries without a script as some kind of script requests (even if really entries with a script are the main goal of the repository), but then they shouldn't have been formulated as bug reports, or links to bug reports.

See "How to post in the forums", "How to post a bug report" in the Wiki.

Would have been nice to receive something of a warning or message at all upon action being undertaken. Sudden inexplicable disappearances of threads don't help at all.

I though the bug tracker would send email notifications, maybe it doesn't

Well, you're making it seem like you don't want to receive bug reports from end users so more advanced users can build workarounds to these bugs. I was trying to be helpful and feel like all I got was a kick in the behind for my efforts.

Just because something does not currently have an install script does not mean it should immediately be shot down. Bugs reported for it may lead to others making install scripts with workarounds for the reported bugs. I'm just an end user. I wanted to try and offer what limited debug information I could offer so you could add the games to your growing list of supported games.

Clearly you feel this is the wrong thing to do and I am not going to be bothered with reporting more bugs for a while until this changes.

I won't let the web site tools getting all mixed and messed up, even if you were obviously lead by good intentions.

What you did for 1503 and 1701 are actually experiments, and should have gone (can still go, actually) into

Manual installations part of the forums.

I have to wonder why you did not just move them rather than delete them and tell me this in a reply. Would have been a lot nicer from your part and would have made me feel less like I was being attacked for trying to help. As it stands I am done trying to help.

Because there's no such feature in the web site, bug tracker is one section, the forum another, and the scripts repository another (even if it can also be viewed as a part of the forum).
