Hello, i got Ubuntu from a friend after i had a hard drive crash, i followed many guides and installed after many hours league of legend, the games is able to open the laucher and navigate the store, but when i try to start a game, the loading screen never appears.

My laptos is an HP pavilion G6

HDD 160gb, 4gb ram,

graphix card [AMD] nee ATI BeaverCreek [Radeon HD 6520G]

Ubuntu 12.04, tell me if i'm missing info for you guys to know

Edit: heres what lscpu says:

Architecture:          x86_64
CPU op-mode(s):        32-bit, 64-bit
Byte Order:            Little Endian
CPU(s):                4
On-line CPU(s) list:   0-3
Thread(s) per core:    1
Core(s) per socket:    4
Socket(s):             1
NUMA node(s):          1
Vendor ID:             AuthenticAMD
CPU family:            18
Model:                 1
Stepping:              0
CPU MHz:               800.000

Again, what happens is that after champ select, the game simply does nothing, the client closes, and the loading screen never appears, only an invisible window on the middle of the screen, when i pass the cursor over it disapears

Hi,

i have the same problem on my system (AMD APU 6800K) with newest 14.12 driver installed on 12.04.

When i start a game after championselect instead of showing the loading screen it does nothing.

After a while a wine error message appears that the client is already running which restarts lol.

I'm using the most recent play on linux from the ppa.

I have tried changeing some display options by setting the direct draw renderer to gdi which instead gives a directx error.

Help would be appreciated.

I am not sure what the problem is so here is some general information that may or may not help.  If you have a duel graphics card, you have to specify to the program to be ran under the better graphics card.  Otherwise it will run the program under the worse graphics card which is not capable of running league.  Also read sections 11,13, 14, 15 of this guide.  It may contain some useful information for you.
