Hello everybody,

I suspect that POL_Wine is blocking my notebook from waking up. Don't know still if this is caused by the screensaver or by suspending to memory (which is the only option on my system with Linu Mint; I can't hibernate the system to disk otherwise).

POL_Wine version 1.7.33, i386

I don't know how to debug this. As I open the notebook when sleeping, after having run a wine application from PlayOnLinux, either still running or not, a black screen shows up only. The screen shines a dim light, it's to reckon it's running but nothing other works, not even pressing the power button shortly to power the system off gracefully. The notebook should turn off after a while after pressing the power button but it doesn't. I have to press it for a longer time to shut the notebook down. So I think the system is just frozen in these cases.

Is this a known issue? How can I get rid of it? How do I debug this to give you a deeper insight?

I never use sleep on laptops, because it has always been hit/miss with them. This is something I would check your distro's forums about.

I also noticed you were running Intel graphics; you may want to try to run the most up-to-date kernel and possibly the Oibaff PPA to see if that helps (pulls in the newest graphics stack for open-source systems.). That may help.
