Could be, but I've never had this problem with Drakensang.  It has always been the easiest download/install of any game in PlayOnLinux.

What I can't figure out is if his problem is drivers or something else.  He has the 32-bit libraries installed an d successfully ran a few 2D games, but 3D games seem to have problems.

I just realized that I never asked biggel if he installed the proprietary video drivers for his card/chip...

i have enver toutched drivers so i imagine i dont have propriatrey ones im about to try reainstalling drakensang with windows xp instead of 7 will report the result

 

 

so i just configured wine and set to windows xp i got to a screen syaing dowload complete you may now play but in french nothing happens after that and wine returns 0 i not sure what i should do i will google help on that front

 

ok i plyed it all went fine i got thought the first map :) the game felt a bit sluggish but it worked! what should i do next i feel leauge depived i want to kick some noobs with my lux!

 

ok i have maneged to log in to drakensang but its client is VERY slow maybe that is due to my mediocre internet conection, i will try to play to see if my 3d is working!

I don't know why I didn't mention it from the beginning... sorry about that.

Do you know what video card/chip you are using?
In Mint, you can go to:

  • Menu
  • Administration
  • Driver Manager

It should display if you have Proprietary drivers installed.  If not, then we need to figure out which ones you need

in driver maeneger everything is greyed out and it says i have no propiatary divers.

 

i ran

lspci | grep -E "VGA|3D"

this is the output

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200 v2/3rd Gen Core processor Graphics Controller (rev 09)


ask for any other details you might need sorry for me beeing a bit of a dump when it comes to drivers and stuff i have 0 experiance

whenever it ry to do something in pol now i get this error in terminal for some reason?

seems important, i have looked into drivers and i dont think i need propriatary ones but im not sure im just a noob

that image just shows you the hardware you have.
What we need to verify is that the Intel graphics driver is installed.  Most 3D games won't run without it.  some will run, but a lot of games need those drivers in order to use OpenGL correctly.

I have no idea what the Gtk errors are about...
