Hello all

I certainly hope this is the right forum to ask this question.

I have installed PlayOnMac and after installed MetaTrader 4, it really runs like a dream. I have made some trade and so on, no problems at all. Then today I liked to add an EA (Expert Advisor), to my arsenal. 

I open up the program library and move the EA files to the folders. Then I restart MT4 and open the EA. I fill out the options in the EA and click ok. Then nothing happens, it just freeze and after a while, PlayOnMac says the MT4 has shut down (crash), and I can see the debug list, but I don't know what to look after in that list.

So my question is has anybody had a similar problem? And know how to solve it? 

If I go and remove the EA files in the MT4 folders, MT4 works smoothly again.

It may be that it is because the EA uses dll file structure, if that can help anybody to solve it. Unfortunately I don't know a lot about these things. :-)

Sigh. Debug output and computer specs. Every time. First post. :) We NEED that information to troubleshoot. Thanks.

err:winediag:SECUR32_initNTLMSP ntlm_auth was not found or is outdated. Make sure that ntlm_auth >= 3.0.25 is in your path. Usually, you can find it in the winbind package of your distribution.

This is the main error that sticks out to me. Install Samba (OSX no longer ships with Samba, which has winbind) and see if that gets rid of that error. There are a lot of errors related to networking, but I am not familiar with all of them, and there may be another issue lurking, but this is a fairly common error with POM, and it may just fix it by installing samba.

Ok. I will keep that in mind. Does that usually crash right away on the first error it throws with winbind missing? I just want to know so that I do not suggest that people try it if it is not going to work, as it seems this is strike 4 for me, in terms of this suggestion. haha. :)

I tried to search Samba for Mac, and it looks way over my technical level. It also sounds that it's not necessary the problem? :)

If Quentin says that it isn't, it most likely isn't. ;p
