Hello everyone, fresh install of Linux Mint 17 XCFE pretty much, latest wine version. I can get in-game fine.. I can move around, i can purchase from the shop, everything is fine pretty much... EXCEPT my screen is all black under my HUD , with the exception of my health bar... (testing this in custom game with 1 bot)
Aside from my screen being all black with no textures, my shop is also only a red square with no item icons.. I can use it functionally but it's difficult andn not practical. I am thinking this is either adobeair or s3tc, can someone please help a new linux user?
Btw using a 4670k cpu as my graphics processor.. I had the game nearly running perfectly on ubuntu 14.4 so I know that the CPU is strong enough to play smoothly... I have notdone anything regarding graphics drivers because i have no dedicated GPU right now..

Can you post the debug output, please?
For some reason, I want to say s3tc as well. I run an Intel chipset on my laptop, and with some of the recent updates (although, these are through PPA's) have caused issues. It is kind of a guess until we see your debug output. I have yet to experience this particular bug personally, though.
The system Wine version does not matter. Do you have all of your 32-bit libraries for graphics installed? I never have to change anything for my intel graphics, but now that I think of it, I am running a dedicated Intel graphics GPU (not IGPU, like the i3/5/7 series.).

@petch - For Intel IGPUs, the stable mainline kernel and Oibaf PPA should pull the good stuff in, right? Like the new Mesa git, obviously a mainline kernel, better support for newer i-series Intel chips, etc..
It may be something that you (the OP) may want to look into. I just always run whatever is stable and current on my pure intel systems (for the record, I am running Kubuntu 14.04.x 64-bit with the current stable mainline kernel, Oibaf PPA, and the xorg-edgers PPA.), and have not seen that. I would perhaps try to see if your system has s3tc support, and if not, see if your particular chipset has s3tc support with a more recent kernel/graphics stack combo. You have plenty of power. You should be able to do run it with that chip. :)
