So I'm having a very weird problem. I set my recording input thenuse audacity to test it. It records and sounds great an I fix the levels. Then I close audacity, start playing a game and maybe 2-4 minutes into the game the input goes flat and my mic isn't working anymore. I exit the game, go back to audacity, test record and it isn't getting any audio from the input. The same input is selected, the levels are the same, the mic is actually working because I've tested it on other things and it works fine. If I unplug the mic and plug it back in over and over it eventually works again and starts picking up the audio.

According to lspci this is my sound card.

CODE: SELECT ALL
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 7 Series/C210 Series Chipset Family High Definition Audio Controller (rev 04)

I don't know if there's a problem with the kernel module handling this specific card (integrated into my motherboard) but I'm even fine with buying a sound card if I know the problem isn't going to repeat itself on another card.

Thanks in advance for any help.
