Hi everybody,

because I had problems with starting Torchlight II, I will tell you, how I fixed it (sry for my bad english):

1. install the wine version 1.6.2 (can probably be, that versions after 1.6.2 also work, but I used that)

2. start the manual installer

3. tick the box to use another wine version and choose 1.6.2

4. install normally, but don't start it after install

5. choose the launcher to create shortcut

After that everything is the same like in windows

I didn't know there was another version besides Steam.  Cool, where did you find it?

I have the GOG version of Torchlight, but only Steam version of Torchlight II

That is very cool.  Its interesting to find retail versions of newer games when so many of them are available as digital downloads.  I prefer digital over retail, but I still have a huge collection of retail boxes and still install them from time to time.

I have even started backing up the CD ROM versions because I'm tired of popping in 6 CD's just to play a game.
