Hi All,

Last night I conducted an install of Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 from the retail disc on PlayOnLinux 4.2.2. The installation was successful, apart from a black screen appearing in one of my work environments when attempting to install the EA download manager. However, when I attempt to run the game from within PlayOnLinux this morning it outputs the following error -- 'A required security module cannot be activate. This program cannot be executed (3000).' The game then exits once I except this dialog.

Debugging the game yields:

[05/25/14 11:27:41] - Running wine-1.4.1 RA3.exe (Working directory : /home/ryan/.PlayOnLinux/wineprefix/RA3/drive_c/Program Files/Electronic Arts/Red Alert 3)

fixme:ntdll:NtQuerySystemInformation info_class SYSTEM_HANDLE_INFORMATION
fixme:ntdll:NtQueryObject Unsupported information class 3

I am running Arch Linux x86-64 with Awesome-WM 3.5.5 with the xf86 open source ATI drivers. My hardware specifications are as follows:

Motherboard: ASRock Z87 Extreme4
CPU: Intel Core i5 4670K
GPU: MSI R9 270X Frozr

Any and all help would be very much appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I apologize for not finding this sooner, but there was a similar post made in 2012 here. I am going to see if I can get it working through Steam.
