Hello everyone,
as the title may imply, i have a problem with my installtion of Microsoft Office 2007. :-)
A few weeks ago i've installed Microsoft Office 2010, but then i had problems with the program. Hence, i've uninstalled it.
Then i've installed Microsoft Office 2007 and it works quite good. But everytime i start the plain application (say "Word 2007") it lead to an endless "configuration-loop". The problem do not occur, if i open an existing document with Microsoft Word 2007. This problem is known and discussed in a few threads:
https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2528748
Apparently, it is not a problem of PlayOnLinux :-). Damn f***** Microsoft! They describe, that the solution is by doing the command:
REG Add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Word\Options/v NoReReg/t REG_DWORD/d 1
in the CMD of Windows.
What i don't understand is that the thread says, that this problem occurs, if i have two or more versions of Microsoft Office installed at the same time. But this is not the case, since i've removed the previous installation. Whatever, i don't get it.
But i wanted to try the fix, at least. I've started by removing the old wine version, which is used for the old Installation of Microsoft Office 2010. Then opened the configurations menu and start up a CMD-Command line interface, which hopefully acts on the wine version of Office 2007. I executed the command once with
REG Add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Word\Options/v NoReReg/t REG_DWORD/d 1
and again with
REG Add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Options/v NoReReg/t REG_DWORD/d 1
because "14.0" refers to Office 2010, i think, and "12.0" to Office 2007.
But unfortunately it did not solved my problem. Does anybody of you had the same problem and found a solution?
Best regards,
Christoph
