Problem:
Launching GW2 from PlayOnLinux is freezing my desktop (unable to interact with the desktop), but I am still able to move the mouse around. GW2 launcher can be closed by clicking on the X multiple times.

Solution:
1. Select Guild Wars 2 and click on Configure button (gear icon).
2. Under Wine tab click on Configure Wine button
3. Under Graphics tab tick the Emulate a virtual desktop checkbox (also choose the resolution you want).

Additional info:

System: Ubuntu 14.04
Wine: 1.5.28-GuildWars2
PlayOnLinux 4.2.2

Even if this problem is solved, please keep this post, because it can be found via searching on google. Should I also post any additional info, logs?

Its amazing how well the virtual desktop works and affects the mouse/keyboard.
I use it for all games unless there is a problem in the game.
Virtual desktop also can make games fullscreen when you change the resolution in game to match your Linux desktop.

Thanks for posting your solution!
I hope that someone will compile a GuildWars2 patch for a newer version of Wine. That 1.5.28 is getting old.
