I just reinstalled Ubuntu gnome 14.04 and playonlinux and the league package but when I start it the Patch/play screen is black (I can still click things on it) in the debugger it shows

[05/05/14 00:26:30] - Running wine-1.7-LeagueOfLegends lol.launcher.admin.exe (Working directory : /home/travis/.PlayOnLinux/wineprefix/LeagueOfLegends/drive_c/Riot Games/League of Legends)
libGL error: failed to load driver: swrast

I'm using the Catalyst 14.4 drivers from the AMD website

this same set up worked fine in Manjaro so it must be a package or something I'm missing any one have a clue as to what that might be?

Ok so I found the play button in the blank menu and it spams this

Just one note, I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 with NVIDIA GeForce 730m and I can run League of Legends almost perfectly. The only problem I have is related to the in game item shop, as stated here:

I'm pretty sure it's not an issue with the video card its self I mean like I said everything worked in manjaro it might just be how ubuntu handles the driver or something I don't know...

Exactly which AMD card and what are the PoL display settings for Lol.
I had a Gigabyte(shite) HD7790 and have now swapped to Saphire R9 270 for Pol.

I'm still to get Lol running here past login, but in getting Rift going, I basically had to run through most of the display options (still can not see Tutorial videos in Rift).

So what are your display setting?
I'm wondering if a GL libs didn't get upgraded in Ubuntu?

supercow, I finally got League of Legends 100% working on Ubuntu 14.04. Everything works: user store, in game item shop, all maps, Maestro connection etc... I've done a tutorial, see if it helps you:
