How do I configure PoL/WINE to allow access to ports?

I'm trying to get TERA online to work via the PoL launcher. Everything seemed to install fine, but when I click the "Play" button, I get a message about not connecting to server. The launcher also comes with a diagnostic tool, which tells me Im not connected to the internet.

I did some research, and TERA needs ports 443 and 10001, and possibly 80.

After an hour or so of fruitless searching, I came here.

I'm running Ubuntu 14.10LTS. Installed everything indicated by the PoL Launcher.

TL;DR
Is there anyway to tell PoL and/or WINE to open the ports I need?

Edit: this seems to be a common error among people trying to run this game, among multiple distros.
