I have a problem with using PoL to play some games, like Trion game's Rift. The game keeps locking up and it is a hard reset to get the system back.

After months of investigating this and that I've come to the conclusion that the culprit has to be the evolving driver, AMD Catalyst, for my Radeon HD 7790 video card. This was finally based on a recent version update predictable crashing the system, where prior it was only an occassional event is busy pvp or dungeon scenes.

PoL was in the clear because it also happened on some game related websites.

So I am currently submitting logs to try and give some information on the cause of this error, and I collect a playonlinux.log, which was intially rejected at 798k as too big. Less then 5 mins of game that was just popping and closing bag, quest, group winder?  what gives.

Well the 120,??? line lenght log file consists of <1,000 useful lines and 119,000 identical  fixme lines. . It was a fair shock to realise this, appart from being of no use.

So what are the fixme errors and what purpose do they serve?

fixme are not errors, they're reminders for Wine developers of features missing or only partially supported. They can be disregarded on first approximation.
