Cannot start PlayOnLinux from the Launcher

Hello everyone!

I recently installed Ubuntu 14.04 on my laptop, and I have a strange problem. I cannot get PlayOnLinux to launch using the launcher bar icon. I also cannot get it to launch from the Dash, either. The only way I can get POL to launch is via command line. I get no error from the command line, and POL starts properly. How would I fix this issue? Thanks for any advice.

Ubuntu 14.04 LTS w/Unity
Dell Inspiron N5110 laptop with Intel Core i5
8 GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 6450M video card using discrete card
POL version 4.2.2
