Hello guys,

I tried several ways of installing a downloaded version of Office 2010 but always got the same error message:

"Error in POL_Wine"

After that installation continues but some more errors appear, like:

"Error in POL_Shortcut
Binário não encontrado: WINWORD.EXE
Tem instalado o programa na localização pré-definida?"
(My translation:
Bin not find for: WINWORD.EXE
Is the program installed in the previously defined location?)

And a similar message for all other office suite programs. At the end the suite is not installed. I'm using:

- Linux Mint 16 Petra 64-bit
- Wine 1.5.16 and PlayOnLinux 4.2.1
- Cinnamon 2.0.14 desktop

- Lenovo Ideapad notebook, processor Intel Core i5-3210M CPU 2.50GHz x 2, 7.7 GiB memory.

Already tried many things, like installing msxml6, riched20, urlmon, .NET 2.0, winbind, and setting OS to Windows 7. Anyone has any idea of what else could I do?

Thanks in advance!

Did you perform a manual install or did you use the Office 2010 profile?

Used the profile. Like went in

PlayOnLinux>Install Program>Office>Microsoft Office 2010

I tried to do just the same process to installing office in a friend's computer that runs Ubuntu and got the same error...

Any other idea guys? Do you think this can be related to the Office version I'm trying to install?

I have the same problem. I've tried with 3 versions of 2010.

Use the x86 version for installing Office 2010 bypass and find the x86 setup when asked for installation file. The Playonlinux auto installation should automatically install Microsoft Visual Studio 8, Microsoft Sync Framework, Microsoft. net, vb206, msxml6 and riched20.dll.
Samba Winbind you need to have already installed.
