Install Diablo3 fails over and over

I'm trying for days now to install Diablo 3 but I can't get it to work

Playonlinux 4.2.2 installed and Wine1.5.5v3
Linux Mint 16 Cinnamon x64.
VGA card is a GT520 with 1024Mb

I can't figure out what to do, but each time I try to install Diablo3 I have the same issue.
Normal installation seems to go OK, but when the game is 100% and I try to play for a while or just close the game, PlayonLinux is just not finishing the installation:
Please wait while Diablo is being installed.

I have changed Linux Mint to the correct Nvidia drivers (I think) and set the Wine options to windows 7.

Please help me solve this frustrating issue.... I'm about to return to Windows and that's the last thing I would like (I'm now on Linux for about a month.... so kind of a newbie :-) )

Thanks for all the support.

If I cancel the installation I'm left with nothing. At least it seems this way.
I can start the installation over again (not deleting, but using the same installation) and I end up with the same status of the installation: I can start playing the game or quite directly. But no matter what I choose the result is the same: please wait while Diablo is installed (and I can wait for ages, but not next step to this).

Is it something I do wrong?

Or can I force a good installation?

really no one with a bright idea?

I have searched google for a solution again and again, but I could not find anything related.

I have came across posts which pointed in the direction of 'installation is taking too long'. But if that is the case every D3 player should have the same problem. Others mentioned the program is not completely clossed and this causes PoL also not to finish the installation. But I've checked within Wine and no open processes.

The strange thing is, I had it working once (a few weeks ago) but due to a f*ck up i had to do a re-install. I can't figure out what was different in the installation back then compared to now...

Hmmmm....

Running the installer from the CD the installation starts to run BUT there is no Diablo folder created under .playonlinux/wineprefix/diabloIII/drive_c/Program Files/
If I start the installer using the downloaded game client a folder is created on the correct location.
If I use the CD the folder will be created on the desktop of ubuntu

In both cases the installer will not complete the installation (no desktop icon, no starter in PoL).

But.... there are some differences...

had the same problem. dont change the install dir, just use the default from the installer. should solve your problem
