League of Legends - Horrible Loading Times

So I've just recently just got League of Legends installed onto my installation of Xubuntu 12.10 (it was 12.04 LTS, but I've upgraded a few days ago to get League to properly run). At first, I had some issues with graphics, but I've gotten that taken care of from another thread on this forum, but there's still another glaring issue I'm having.

Whenever I start up a match, it takes a ridiculously long time to load up the loading screen AND the game itself. Is there any way that I can get this fixed? I was hoping that fixing the graphical lagging would fix the loading issue, but it still takes a really long time to load.

Specs
AMD A8-3870k 3.2GHz Quad-Core APU
Radeon HD 4850 512MB
8GB DDR3-1600 RAM (2x4GB DDR3)
Xubuntu 12.10 64-bit

My Machine:
AMD A8-3870k 3.2GHz Quad-Core APU
Radeon HD 7770 2GB
8GB DDR3-1600 RAM (2x4GB DDR3)
Xubuntu 13.10 64-bit

Just as an update, the loads time are a bit less than before ever since I did the guide to improve framerate slow down, but it's still pretty long loading times, compared to how long it takes to load in Windows.

My Machine:
AMD A8-3870k 3.2GHz Quad-Core APU
Radeon HD 7770 2GB
8GB DDR3-1600 RAM (2x4GB DDR3)
Xubuntu 13.10 64-bit

Hi

my specs are

AMD 1.8GHz Phenom Quad Core CPU
7Gbs Ram
Nvidia GeForce GTS 450 1024MB
13.10 Ubuntu 64-bit

Couple days ago I was trying to listen to Pandora while playing League of Legends. I disabled the in-game sounds (don't just mute, you will see it in the sound menu).

I was surprised when I managed to load up faster than the other 4 people in the following match up.

Just go to the game.cfg file for Leagues and replace the EnableAudio="1" with a "0" instead and then try loading up another match. Hope this helps you get rid of those 2-3min waits.

Note:  Enabling the sound while in game will freeze or crash me (tested it enough).

I'll give that a try once I do another test with my new Radeon HD 7770. I still believe it could be a graphical issue since the video card I was using is old.

My Machine:
AMD A8-3870k 3.2GHz Quad-Core APU
Radeon HD 7770 2GB
8GB DDR3-1600 RAM (2x4GB DDR3)
