Hi there,
I installed NFS3:HP via the wine bundle of wine bottler because playonmac always crashed. Anyway the game now works (sometimes) with the "-d3d0" option. So it's possible after several tries to race one or two turns. Anyway it's unstable.

There is an error at the very beginning which doesn't seem to be fatal:
Unhandled exception: wait failed on critical section 0x7bca8680 in 32-bit code (0x7bc27d8e).

System information:
    Wine build: wine-1.5.17
    Platform: i386
    Host system: Darwin
    Host version: 13.0.0

There are three situations in which the game usually crashes:
1.) With a black screen at the beginning.

2.) At the end of the race loading screen.

3.) During the loading screen of the menu after a race.

It doesn't crash always in these situations. To me the appearance of a crash seems to be random.

My playonmac version is 4.2.1. I've tried numerous wine versions and different windows versions.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
