Hello there,
I was being crazy trying to run League Of Legends after i broke my League's drive, now i have the solution! I think this wouldn't be an universal solution, but it could help some persons like me that played LoL on Linux for a long time and after a mistake they broken it.
I just made these steps: - Install in POL: d3dx10, d3dx11, d3dx9 (only d3dx9, not the other d3dx9_etc) and directx9
- It will broke your Adobe Air (already installed in wine), I really don't know why but it does it, so we have to fix, go to Configure Wine, then select the tab Libraries and add the lib "dnsapi" and set it to "integrate, native"
- Enjoy League Of Legends
Hoping this will help, Error218 :)
P.S. my nick is NegativeYouth, I'm in the EUW server :) Edited by Error218

Hello, I've a Radeon HD 7770, I'm using the Vi0lo's repository for the catalyst drivers. Actually I'm using the last version (3.12-1) of both catalyst-hook and catalyst-utils. I'm on Arch Linux. Edited by Error218

Thanks for this -- League worked with 13.10, but not with 13.11 or 13.12. :)
Though using Mesa 10 with radeon/radeonsi, you can get full performance without even having to use Catalyst. I get 70-80fps on Mesa 10 (open source radeon) with all settings maxed on my 7970M

Strange mmh... Are you sure you fixed the I/O bug in catalyst?
You can find more information here:
P.S. remember to reboot everytime you change your video drivers. (I'm on Arch and it is a little bit different :P)
P.S.S. if the open source drivers work fine just left them! Edited by Error218

I read back at http://www.playonmac.com/en/topic-11142.html as well as this thread trying to solve this as well.
I tried a manual install as well as the regular install from the playonlinux menus. I can login to the game. This isn't a problem. I can also spectate, but I'm right back to where you and others were at which is... we can't play legitimate games, whether it's custom or actual games. I don't know how to get around it as I've followed what you said to install in terms of libraries and what others suggested.
Any hints or advice to my situation? I think I've reinstalled league of legends at least 5 times now trying to get it to work right.

Here is a copy of the logs. At this point, the game claims it's loading, but it's not. If it 'crashes', and I click reconnect, nothing happens still. http://fpaste.org/64547/38816262/
Below is a ps -ef output.
What's interesting also is if it 'crashes' once, a pop up will say there's already a launcher running and if I want to terminate it. If I say yes, a brand new updater launcher comes up as if league isn't already running. Same goes if I attempt to 'reconnect', the popup will appear. Edited by tuckles

Mmh strange, I don't know how to fix that errors but i try to troubleshoot with you.
First of all this is my debug file for a simple match: http://pastebin.com/aD46UNSF Then this is my Wine's Libraries config: dbghelp DISABLED, dnsapi Integrate then Native. I configured my drive installing this POL: corefonts, ie8, d3dx9, vcrun2005, vcrun2008; then I installed League on it but it won't work so I've done what is write in the first topic. N.B. do NOT install wininet.
Hoping this will help, Error218 :) Edited by Error218

Wininet is in the library list set as 'builtin' - If it's disabled, the game will not run. dbghelp is in the library list, and is set to disabled. dnsapi is set to built-in then native.
What you've listed is already installed.

Thanks man, it seems to work for me, just gonna test actual matches now. As another note, it made the out of game champ shop work. It doesnt look the greatest, but any functionality at all is great! Just look through his full library setup and copy it and it should be good. itll take a while but should be worth it. Using fglrx-updates on kubuntu beta 14.04
