Hello,

I have been trying to get RA3 working and keep running into issues.  I am running Ubuntu 12.04 with POL installed via apt-get.

I installed the game from the CD and it went fine.  However I am not able to get the game to start.  I have tired with wine versions 1.1.8 and 1.4.1 per this thread I found and get the same results: http://www.playonmac.com/en/topic-2212.html

Below is the debug log.  Any thoughts?  Thanks!
Matt

I actually have a step-by-step guide on C&C Red Alert 3: Uprising:  Red Alert 3:  Uprising

You may want to try a manual installation and install the recommended packages/libraries.
Also try using a newer version of Wine.

What kind of machine are you running?
