Does anyone play World of tanks, besides me? ..It works extremely well with no problems. FPS is a bit low but the game is still very playable. Good job crew .. keep up the good work.

Did changing to Wine 1.7.1-CSMT fix the frame rate problem?

Hi all have somebody same problem like me?
My top row keys 2,3,4,5,6 not work in game. Game use this keys for reload AP ammo,HE ammo, medicine chest, tools for repair, fire extinguisher. In game options if i want to remap keys 2,3,4,5,6, it is impossible to use them. Interesting is if i write some msg to game chat numbers works.

I am not geek but i think it has to do with keyboard layout. I am from Slovakia and i use Slovak language in Ubuntu.

Is there somebody who can confirm this issue on his computer/system ?

That is very strange for a game.
Must be some mis-communication with Wine
What version of Wine are you using?

Do you know if you are using a virtual desktop?

Wine Virtual Desktop:
Launch playonlinux
Click Configure
Select world of tanks (on the left side)
Click Wine tab
Click Wine Configure
Click display tab
Check "run Wine in a Virtual Desktop"
Select a resolution (1024x768)

Now when you launch your game and it will open a generic Windows desktop.
When you make changes to the resolution in-game, the "virtual desktop" will also change with it.

Hi solution for keyboard is only use english layout for keyboard. Then all works.. ... But now i have another problem. Oh "libpng" is probably a PlayOnLinux problem. There were a few PNG error when using Steam in the past.

Try re-installing World of Tanks in a new virtual drive and see if that works.
I recommend emailing your png error to contact@playonlinux.com

@booman: Why not using this thread to talk about WOT-Problems?

@bluedevil: Try wine-1.7.4-csmt (don't forget to enable csmt in the registry)

@all:
WOT worked really well till 9.0 - now it's slow and unstable.
The windows-users have the same problem.
the hotfix in the morning fixed only a little of the crash-issues, but it's far away from fixing all of the Problems.

For me, it works now stable on Windows - but much slower than before 9.0
I noticed, the game allocs much more RAM on Linux then on windows.
<1GB to 1,3-2GB in the first round...
How is that possible?

Its ok to post here, I was just thinking if his problem is not related to yours, then it would be better to have it in a new post. This way its easier to search and read online.

I didn't know you had to enable CSMT in the registry when you use Wine 1.7.4-CSMT
I just assumed it was already enabled by selecting that version of Wine.

My new Testresults:
Wine 1.7.12: 20-25fps, stable, texture bugs in garage, no problems ingame
Wine 1.7.4-csmt, 1.7.1-scmt: no graphic problems, 45fps average, crash after 2-4 rounds at the end of the round.

Where can i get 1.7.12-csmt? Can't find it on google :(

OS: Kubuntu 14.04 (same result as 13.10)
HW: i5 3570k, gtx 670, 16GB RAM

PlayOnLInux only has a 1.7.10-CSMT-a632585 available. That is the newest CSMT
