What?

If you are wondering how to compile wine, you should refer to WineHQ.org.

http://wiki.winehq.org/Patching

Im have no clue what you mean by .pol.sha1 1.7.1 csmt..... You need to be a lot more specific. One-sentence questions dont really tell me much.....

The wine versions on http://www.playonmac.com/wine/binaries/linux-x86/ are all in the .pol.sha1 format, so I have no idea what that format is.

Dont use them like that. Thats not really for users to use manually.

Open PlayOnLinux -> click Tools -> click Manage Wine Versions -> select the version you want to install -> click the arrow pointing to the right

This will install different wine versions into PlayOnLinux.

The reason I want to compile those versions is I want to be able to move the location of the virtual drives do to limited space on my Ubuntu Partition. Is there any way to compile those or do I need to patch wine myself?

They are already compiled, and thats not how you do that. You shouldnt move the location of your virtual drives for various reasons. You can mount an external HD at ~/.PlayOnLinux.

What are you saying makes no sense. Even if you wanted to compile them, that has nothing to do with where your ~/.PlayOnLinux folder. Like, forget whatever it is your are trying to do, because you are going about it completely wrong. lol

If you want more space, you need to format a drive to ext4, and mount that partition to /home/username/.PlayOnLinux/

This will make sure that anything that goes in that folder goes on the other drive, since that is where its mounted.

That being said, this is NOT supported at all, and most likely will cause issues.

You most likely need a bigger system hard drive.

Again, dont worry about those wine versions, dont mess with them there, if you want them, install from within POL like I said. What you are trying to do is literally nonsensical, and you dont need to compile anything. I dont know where you got that idea from. lol

compiling and patching are 2 completely different things, and have nothing to do with each other in the sense you are talking about. Keep it simple.

Please refer to that thread, as you have already been given the link to the topic on this subject.
