i've reinstalled the game about 15 times. about 5 full reinstalls (I didnt figure it'd be worth doing full if i kept getting the same output)

even tried deleting the virutal drive... hmm do you think after the commands i just did i should go ahead and try again?

Man, you are as stubborn as I am. Thats good, but I'm sure you are frustrated by now.
If you havn't installed the game since installing those 32-bit libraries, then its a good idea.
Always start in a new virtual drive.

But I'm still not sure the 32-bit libraries ARE installed.
I'm sure DJ has a way to verify them

This would not cause the system to freeze, nor POL to crash.

The 32 libs for his graphics are installed. POL doesnt toss an error about it, the Intel drivers are included with linux releases, ia32-libs doesnt look like its there anymore, and multiarch-support is a meta-packages, and basically makes the 32-bit libs for whatever is installed dependencies, and its installed, so thats ok. Plus, there are no graphics related errors anywhere else I can see, and the commands that he posted the output from show he is up to date, and doesnt look like he is missing anything.

So, we still dont having the debug log, we wont know any more.

Lets do this.

BACKUP YOUR ~/.PlayOnLinux folder

delete that folder with:

rm -rf ~/.PlayOnLinux

Restart your system, just for good measure.

run playonlinux from the terminal

install the game

run the game

if it dies, post the debug log IN FULL here.

this will make it do its first-time setup again, as well as re-download the wine packages and all of that. Could be a corrupted ~/.PlayOnLinux initialization that is causing subsequent things to fail.

about 5 full reinstalls

When you say "full reinstall" are you talking about Ubuntu? If that is so, then it proves what I said about running LTS versions of Ubuntu, and nothing else, unless you REALLY need to.

If what I said above doesnt work, I HIGHLY suggest that you use Ubuntu 12.04 LTS instead of 13.10. Id be willing to bet all of these issues, and probably others would go away.

So yeah, if what I said didnt work, and you were talking about reinstalls of Ubuntu above, then downgrade your distro to the stable, LTS version. Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS is available on Ubuntu's site.

Full reinstall of the game*

ok. So, yeah. Try what I said above (the deleting ~/.PlayOnLinux folder and all of that), and if your system keeps freezing, then something is incompatible with that beta version of Ubuntu, and you will need to at least downgrade to 13.04, or LTS would be best.

Linux systems dont usually freeze like that, where the whole system locks up. This is an indication that whatever is trying to access your graphics stuff, is having a MAJOR hard time, which it shouldnt. That leads me to believe that your distro is corrupted in someway, or Ubuntu 13.10 (the packages it uses for its kernel, X, etc) are incompatible with your system, which is totally possible, because that version has not been out long enough to test.

I have a question:

Where you running 13.04, and then upgraded to 13.10? Or is your OS a FRESH install of 13.10?

I ran 13.04 then went back to windows due to this problem... Really missed ubuntu so I just came back and figured i should try harder and by that time it was 13.10. So I figured hey why not? So it's a fresh install of 13.10 and almost everything is working. Even League of Legends

Ok. Upgrades break. lol

13.04 did this too? Ok. If what I said didnt work, then try 12.04.3 LTS Ubuntu.

If that does not work right, then you have hardware problems for sure.

Also, you might want to try another flavour of Ubuntu (like Kubuntu or Xubuntu or Mint), because regular Ubuntu uses Unity and is preparing to roll out something called Mir, which the WHOLE rest of the Linux community is NOT doing, so I would totally try another distro if you are going to reformat.

Ive seen regular Ubuntu do goofy stuff since switching to Unity. Mint is really nice, and Kubuntu rocks. I never had a problem with Kubuntu.

Before reformat, try deleting that POL folder first.

Sorry. Just trying to figure this one out. lol. I want to make sure we have checked everything. :D

It's looking like I need to download p11-kit-trust.so but I can't find a way to install that package.

/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/pkcs11/p11-kit-trust.so

AHA I'm getting somewhere p11-kit: couldn't load module: /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/pkcs11/p11-kit-trust.so: /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/pkcs11/p11-kit-trust.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64

Its the exact same problem i'm having...
For the gnome-keyring issue, see
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-keyring/+bug/859600 --
which is fixed now in Saucy (and backports are underway).

However, in Wine's case you will still see this error:
p11-kit: couldn't load module: /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/pkcs11/p11-kit-trust.so:
/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/pkcs11/p11-kit-trust.so: cannot open shared object
file: No such file or directory

The reason is that the p11-kit-trust.so library hasn't been separated
from the p11-kit package. p11-kit is not a multi-arch package, so
there's still no way to install this library (and avoid the error) on
64-bit Ubuntu.

So this is saying that i'd have to go down to 32-bit ubuntu? And in that case is it like WIndows where if I have 32-bit i can only use 3ish gb out of my 16gb's of ram?
