A few questions: Did you install from the PlayOnLinux scripts? Do you remember which directx (d3dx) the script installed?
There are a lot of GL errors which might lead to something wrong with direct x.
Try this to fix the GL errors: - Display Options:
- Launch PlayOnLinux
- Click Configure
- Select LOL virtual drive
- Click on display tab
Direct Draw Renderer: opengl Video Memory size: check your video card specs Off-screen rendering mode: fbo
Since your other games work, I'm guessing you have installed 32-bit libraries if you are running 64-bit Linux.
I have a step-by-step guide installing League of Legends manually with PlayOnLinux: League of Legends Guide
There is still a problem with the store after the recent update, but it should still run.

I see a lot of stuff related to network problems, but usually anything that says fixme can be ignored. Can you pastebin the full running log so that we can see the whole thing? What is the output of these commands? lspci | grep VGA glxinfo | grep render
Also, when you start POL, does it give you an error or notification about 32-bit OpenGL not being available or something like that?

@booman: Tried the "opengl" and "fbo", doesn't work... I'm trying to follow your guide
@DJYoshaBYD: I don't have any error about 32bits OpenGL, just a notification : "iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile", but I've seen on internet that it's not a problem.
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Pitcairn XT [Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition]
direct rendering: Yes OpenGL renderer string: AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series GL_KTX_buffer_region, GL_NV_blend_square, GL_NV_conditional_render, GL_KTX_buffer_region, GL_NV_blend_square, GL_NV_conditional_render,
And I got 3700fps with fgl_glxgears

May be an AMD card/driver issue. Did you do the whole guide? LOL will run will run with newer versions of Wine, but the store will be broken... not to mention the new updates of LOL has broken the store anyways. We are waiting on another Store Wine release by the Devs to fix that. What version of Wine are you running? I wonder what these errors mean:
err:secur32:schan_AcquireClientCredentials Could not find matching protocol fixme:crypt:CRYPT_RegControl CERT_STORE_CTRL_AUTO_RESYNC: stub I know secur32 and crypt are DRM libraries, but this game is free, so I don't know why it would need to verify anything?

Yeah. I saw that., as well. It does that for account security. Crypt fixmes will show up, but I have never had them cause issues. AquireClientCredentials looks like it is saying that it did not have a way to get credentials from the user, or maybe trouble getting auth info from their server? The can think of a few reasons for security, like stopping people from hacking/using exploits to screw with the game experience, hack their servers, and just do all sorts of malicious stuff. Im not sure what that error means, specifically, though.

I'm trying now to follow the guide, I have not followed it before. I was using the last version of wine, but I tried a lot of version anyway The game is downloading, 34 minutes left When you say "The store is broken" : The store ingame is broken or the store out of game ? (For champions / Characters / ...) @DJYoshaBYD: You are not sure of what? I don't understand, sorry :/ (And thanks a lot you too for helping me :) ) Edited by perdouille

ugh, 35 minutes... that sucks. You should be able to backup the game files after you download it. So you won't need to wait 30 minutes again.

I looked up both errors on google and there are posts and error reports for League of Legends, but no suggestions for fixes. Of course I only looked for a minute

Strange :/

Couldn't find a fix on internet ... maybe replace the "dll\\wininet.dbg" with one working ? Or install with winetricks ?

is IE installed in that virtual drive? You shouldnt mix winetricks with POL installs. We dont support it, it can make things worse, and POL functions do almost everything that winetricks does. no need for it. Dont replace that file. It wont do anything. Its most likely some of the new issues I have been hearing about with LoL recently. Most likely, these issues will require a patched version of Wine, as this is an actual WINE crash, not POL. Have you checked on this at appdb.winehq.org ?

I've checked a little bit yes, haven't found anything ... Removing wininet seems to let me connect again, but now I got a black screen when I connect to a game Edit: I got a black screen only if I make a "false wine desktop", else it's the same problem that before Edited by perdouille

Thats very strange, I never had issue with wininet at all. DJ: yes IE8 has to be installed in a Windows XP setup with service pack 3. That was the only way I could get it to run. There is a chance the new Wine 1.7.4 Gecko could run it without IE8, but someone has to test it. It never seems to be 100% compatible as IE8 with these browser clients like Origin, Uplay, Arc & League of Legends launcher.

Yeah. I have to imagine there are a lot of cryptographic-ish things that are used for SSL and whatnot. @perdouille - Make sure you have have openssl and opentls installed (or whatever they are called now), as Wine should be able to pass requests like that to your Linux systems SSL stack. It doesnt always work, but thats it looks like.

It depends on what the program uses with that stuff, how that particular version of wine handles it, the version of the crypt. stuff on the linux system, etc.. That program may use a feature of that stuff that is not implemented in Wine yet, or is the victim of a regression. Im kind of just guessing, throwing out some ideas.
