My login works fine but whenever I click on play....it brings me to champion select and then it lags terribly when the game starts. I have a AMD graphics card and do have the latest AMD driver. https://docs.google.com/document/d/12_yKUeQ2QLDDxXxxgtaTG5TO9jg_u9eArzbfy89KN6M/edit?usp=sharing Edited by gabzo

I think it's an integrated, I am on a laptop but I"m not 100% sure. I can run LoL fine on windows with a decent amount of fps and other games too. Is it a wine thing to need to have dedicated?
If there is a way for finding out please tell me how
thanks btw, in advance for helping me

Yeah its integrated because you have a laptop. So its possible you are handicapping your games because of Wine, integrated video and outdated drivers. When I decided to test my Windows games in Linux I knew that a beefy computer was neccessary. So I built a desktop with a dedicated GeForce 550 Ti and a solid state hard drive. Almost all of my games run great. Of course its more expensive that way...

Man that sucks. I was hopping I'd be able to Play LoL on linux but I guess not since I have a lappy.
Thanks for your help... I guess I'll stink to playing LoL on my windows partition for now.

Well you can, but the list of games is smaller than with a Desktop. I have an Acer C7 Chromebook. It has Intel HD 2000 graphics chip. It definitely won't play League of Legends, but can play many older games. It even plays Torchlight. So you really have to pick depending on your needs. I'm sure your laptop can handle most games. Like you said Windows can play LoL on your latop, but Wine consumes extra processing that most laptops can't handle. Its not much with a desktop, but can still lag a super high quality game like Crysis 2 or Far Cry 2. If you stick with games like on GOG.com most of them should be able to run... not all, but most.

hi,
maybe this information is helpful for others. i have a amd video card (HD 6800 Series) and the game stopped working. freeze after champion select. logo stuck.
this happened after i installed the newest beta driver. all other games through wine worked fine. for that reason i didn t believe that the error is related to the new driver.
so ... i reinstalled lol (tried different ways)... didn t help at all.
reverted back to amd driver 13.10 beta 2 and lol worked !!
my system: ubuntu 12.04.3 (64bit) Edited by nepomuk

Hi, Its prolly could help others if you posted the previous and current "working" driver you used. I’m running the 13.11 beta 9.4 drivers and are getting the same issues as perdouille. Even our logs are the same. Cant revert to 13.4 driver because im using the R9 290 card and its only supported in 13.11 beta 6 \ 9.4 Been debugging for a couple of days now and the only issue i see is the new 13.11 beta drivers. I got a separate thread for my own issues so im not gonna hijack this one ;) but the catalyst version matters. Atleast to the Google debuggers out there. DJYoshaBYD got some insight in the version specifics of the other users?? btw. hi,
sry missed on that one. problems started with 13.11 beta v6 driver. (also tried 13.11 beta v9.4)
i did a lot of debugging myself. but i m not a developer. they must have changed something in the driver that "only" league of legends depends on... because other games work.
i would love to see a fix for this.
league of legends works for me on this system:
system: 3.8.0-35-generic 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Barts PRO [Radeon HD 6850]
video driver: display: :0 screen: 0 OpenGL vendor string: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. OpenGL renderer string: AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series OpenGL version string: 4.3.12443 Compatibility Profile Context 13.20.11
wine version: 1.5.24 (playonlinux) / native 1.7

roger. Dude. i think i found the issue. some of the Devs needs to confirm. OpenGL and glGenerateTextureMipmapEXT. glGenerateTextureMipmapEXT API command will always return NULL. :) dont know if Pol Devs can "fix" the issue or if the new unbugged driver is the only option. No LOL for 4 weeks. :(

Unfortunately AMD developers won't be troubleshooting bugs like this because we aren't running legitimate windows. So they will never update their drivers for us... unless it was a problem in Windows too. We will have to wait on Wine developers or someone to patch it up.

Hello, I'm a playonlinux user from 1 month. I played League Of Legends, since yesterday i tried to install in my LeagueOfLegends drive Hearthstone. It broken both games and now i can't make my LoL working. I'm on Arch Linux. I've an ATI HD 7770, i'm using the Vi0lo Drivers (official AMD drivers, catalyst), last version update yesterday (13.12.1), with xorg server 1.13 (catalyst drivers force us to use it). I'm on Gnome 3, using the last playonlinux version with 1.7-LeagueOfLegends wine version. Now I'm stuck in LoL logo, i can use the shop but i cant enter o spectate in a game that my game get stuck. I tried to guess what was the problem, I've erased my .PlayOnLinux dir and redone everything, I've downgraded my drivers but this doesn't work too, I've tried to search and here i am. This is my debug file: http://pastebin.com/YagWzjNnMy kernel is: 3.12.5-1-ARCH Hoping this can help, Error218 :) Edited by Error218
