First of all Congratulations Excellent program

Well the idea is to make this program so that it can be the best choice to be the substitute for crossover and cedega since Aug. below my proposals

1 .- Making PlayOnLinux when installed with a default that this perfill configured as windows XP so we have a profile ready to add programs.

2.-Agregarle Run option to run or run any exe without installing and put like this to put a button to be added to the profile osea to link any exe file to the profile if it will be running constantly.

3.-Have all offline: This is the PlayOnLinux and bring everything necessary to not download anything from insternet this for the people who do not have Internet connection or a slow enough you could make two modes 1 is putting everything into one package 2 and taking steps to install and parcels for example funetes also scripts to include all this I think it is.

4.-also would be better than playonlinux have its own folder in applications to be installed when something will also add to that folder so thus has to not only open the playonlinux open a gnome such applications> playonlinux> office> file .

Because by now is all these if I can help somewhat with translations nothing but tell me where enpiezo or saver that you are working for me too because this coperar my mail in my profile

1. - bad idea, many applications need different windows versions
2. - good idea, except second part of your proposal, installer often writes needed refistry keys and dll's in wineprefix, so if you link .exe which need in this changes to profile that haven't them, you'll can't to run application.
3. - this proposal - for script writers, not for POL creators. But I agree - this is convenient
4. - if I right understand, you talk about own POL sub-menu in GNOME standard menu? Allready done. Check in POL Settings->Panels menu

Hi obelich,

About your 3rd proposal, we are working on something to resolve the internet problem. I can't tell you more for the moment so just wait for news.

Hello all:

1) I think its imperative to implement a way to recognize the local parameters of each computer. ¿What's this? A way to determine if the game or application is installed into Programmi (Italian) or "Archivos de Programa" (Spanish) so the launcher works.

I have spent quite a time trying to figure a) Where my Steam icon was (It was in "Desktop" called folder and not in my "Escritorio" ) and b) Why when I run PoL (Play on Linux) I cant make my Steam work...? And it was all because the local configuration

2) I completely disagree with the idea of making PoL an offline or partially offline application since the real power of PoL is the inter actuation user-internet and the addition of new updates and scripts by downloading them.

3) The update arrow in the initial screen isnt indeed a global update, I mean, it didnt updates PoL but only the programs. I think it can lead to misunderstanding. Maybe changing the text with something like: Update List of Games.

4) You have plenty space in the PoL screen. Next to the game name and Icon you could add a link to the WineHQ page for that game or maybe launcher options (with the program path, common wine options and so)

And a Bug:

The second message when you are uninstalling an application is in French, a beautiful language but not understandable for me at least.

Don't worry, we won't transform POL, the project I evoked is something different from POL.

Thank you for reporting this bug, I think it will be fixed for the next release (which won't be available before some weeks because Tinou is traveling)

I used wine-doors but I've downloaded POL and got impressed. Thanks! I'd like to suggest that POL shortcut go out from games and go in wine menu, it would let it more intuitive. Even if I choose to create PlayonLinux menu, as we have this option, the shortcut in Wine wouldn't disappear. The shortcut programs installed could be also in wine AND PlayOnLinux menu, like today. Thanks for your attention.
