Chances are... its not going to work.  Most of the tests on WineHQ's show "garbage" or "bronze" which means they couldn't get it to work either.
Are you installing from DVD or through Steam?
WineHQ's mentions an "Xliveless" version of Wine. So you can try installing with that Wine.

Download Wine Version:

  1. Launch PlayOnLinux

  2. Click Tools

  3. Click Manage Wine Versions

  4. Select version of Wine on the left side

  5. Click the Left Arrow in the middle to download

  6. When finished, the new version of Wine will be on the left side

  7. Close Wine Manager

I suggest doing a Manual Installation. But it requires a lot more steps.
Not to mention you are still going to have a hard time running Grand Theft Auto IV because everyone else can't get it to run yet.

Also, you need to read the stickies in the forum that say READ BEFORE POSTING, as well as the instruction manual in the documentation section, as it seems that you havent.
