Here is what I do to try to run them. Please tell me if I am doing something wrong. I search for a game in Supported software. Clicking the install this software button (or whatever its labled) dosn't work as Firefox dosn't know what program to associate with the file. So I click on display the source code. I right click and selet 'select all' then type CTRL C, then open Libre Office Writer then type CTRL V then CTRL S. I type a file name then select file type TXT then I click on save as txt. Close Libre Office Writer. Select tools in Playonlinux then select run script. The wizard starts, I tell it where the script is it says its unsighned, even though the whole source code was copied! It starts running the script but dosn't complete the script. Do I need to save the signature as a seperate file or what?

It dosn't have all the latest scripts. sometimes I have a game that isin't in the list and I have to look at the list on the web site to find it and then use tools > run script to tell Playonlinux how to install the game but they don't seem to work. Does Playonlinux look for a new version sometimes? Maybe I am not using the scripts correctly. It would be nice if Playonlinux would tell Firefox what program to asociate the scripts with so the install aplication button would work.

By the way after applying the patch for the Sims medival I get 'Internal errors - Invalid parameters recived'. What does this mean?

PlayOnLinux fetches the scripts from the website, so they're always in sync.
In PlayOnLinux however they're filtered depending on the scipts status (testing, no-cd patch needed, commercial), I guess your problem is that you're looking for some filtered out script.

If there always in sync, then why is Fable III listed on the web site, but not in playonlinux? If I look Supportted software > games on the web site it lists Fable III, but If I look in install games in playonlinux version 4.2.1, Fable III is not listed. How is that in sync?

Fable III script is both in testing, and requires a no-cd patch to work; So until you have all the status filters enabled, it won't show up.

Oh I thought I tried all the combinations. I probably forgot to turn on the no-cd needed. It failed on the steam version, because of that annying ptrace security issue in the linux kernal! Since I selected the steam version then a no cd hack is a none issue. Since there is a steam version availible then why do you say you need a no cd hack when you obviously don't need a cd to install the game?

I fixed the ptrace problem and ran the script again. Right now I logged into my Steam client and Fable III is downloading.

I removed the no-cd patch requirement, indeed the policy is (if I remember correctly) to set it only if it's required in all cases.

Fable III steam version will not run. It switch to a blank black screen with a gold mouse pointer. I can move the mouse pointer all over the screeen but nothing happens and no sound.

I  wounder if Fable III can run via dotnet 4.0 since to use 3.0 requiers the ptrace file to be changed to zero every time you relog your user account!  That means you need the admin. password to play Fable III! Those darn Linux kernal devs. and their annoying security protocols. Probably a good idea for a server, but very annoying for home gammers. A google search reveals that the ptrace is used to prevent programs from running in  seperate process or something like that.
