Couldn't load PNG image - file is corrupted or not enough memory

Hi,

I got the same issue with my steam installation.
resaving the images with gimp solved the issue (not resizing)

We are aware of it. I dont ever have the problem, but some people do. I actually never see it crash or anything, and have never noticed issues, except for the actual error message. I didnt do anything to repair it, but I am running the development version of POL, so the fix is most likely part of the dev versions changes/updates.

Its funny you guys replied about this today. I was just posting on gamersonlinux.com about it too.

I finally figured out why I get this problem.
I download Steam directly from their website and install it in a virtual drive.
I get this error every time I install in this fashion.

If you install Steam as a Windows Package it doesn't happen.
