Trying to get Quicken 2011 to work

Apparently missing dotnet20

I'm relatively new to playonlinux and wine, but not to Linux; I'm currently running Kubuntu 13.04 and playonlinux 4.2.1.  I've been trying to get Quicken 2011 running using guidance found at <http://forums.solusos.com/thread-1321.html>.  One of the items they say to install is dotnet20, but this doesn't show up as available in POL's list of available items to install.

From searching around, it appears that it's part of the winetricks package, which is installed and is at version 0.0+20121030+svn918-2.

I tried running Quicken with out this and it crashes on startup.

Can anyone provide me with the missing bit of information to make this work?

Thanks.

We do no support winetricks. Almost all of the fucntions in winetricks are found in Install Components in PlayOnlinux.

I have seen nothing but problems with people running 13.04, but that notwithstanding, someone may need to write a script for it.

Instead of .net2.0, try running mono. That may work.

As I said I'm new to all this. What do you mean by running mono?

FWIW, I've successfully gotten one game and firefox to work in 13.04 without any problems at all.

Thanks.

Mono is an open-source implementation of .NET.

Use PlayOnLinux Install Components tab to select mono210 and install it into the virtual drive you are having issues with.

Im not too sure what all it needs to run. There are some free, open source alternatives to Quicken that run native on Linux. :)
