PlayOnlinux can not find 7z

7z not found but installed!

When ever I start PlayOnlinux it alwaays complaines that 7z is missing but I check and it is installed.

Steam: Skyrim will not display the start menu.

Um, so which problem are you having? A "hello" and "thanks" helps, too. :)

If it says that 7zip is not installed, then you either dont have it installed, or you have the wrong version installed.

First thing is first; if you are not running the latest version of PlayOnLinux, download and install it from here:

http://www.playonmac.com/en/download.html

Next, you need to install the full 7zip packages. In Ubuntu and its derivatives, the package is called p7zip-full, and can be installed by typing this command in the terminal:


sudo apt-get install p7zip-full


Upgrade your PlayOnLinux version and install that, and then let us know if it helped.

We will need some more info to help you with Skyrim.
What version of PlayOnLinux
What version of Wine
did you install any Windows Packages/Libraries
