Cool, I actually refurbish computers at home as a hobby.
Then I give them away, to Church, to friends, non-profit

I would love to give away Linux gaming PC's one day!

haha. Word. So far, I have converted my grandfather, 2 of my girlfriends computers, my computers and laptops, my parents, and a few friends over to linux. Most of them dig it a lot.

Thats cool. How often are they asking you questions?
Are they just using internet and email?
Or are they using LIbre Office, media players, graphics programs (Gimp, blender, inkscape, etc)?

Its really just anything. Im like, tech support for my whole family and friends, even when Im off the clock. Music software, music questions, internet, VPN, VPS, server install/repair, remote access and tunneling solutions, cisco configurations, redback and shadow router config, DSLAM, layer 3 edge router OC issues, how to use email, set up their blackberry, hack their PSP, jailbreak their ps3 or iphone.

Basic anything from the easiest Windows stuff to the toughest networking questions, I get asked it. lol. Its fun, though.

I get calls, internet, and email tickets. I have a custom built ticketing system, as well. And yes, I do create tickets for friends and family. ahaha. it keeps everything nice and tidy.

Really, its anything and everything. Most of my enterprise work is telecommunications and high-level layer-2 and layer-3 WAN networking and webhosting. Everything else is just for fun.

This thread is getting off-topic, though. :)

Wow, very nice... how they heck do you have time for PlayOnLinux?

Sounds like you do it all. I definitely have some weakness in networking and security, but am pretty good at file management and data security.

I don't even have a degree in computers. Instead I have a degree in Fine Art.
Yup, I'm an artist gone GEEK!

I even tried game design for half a year and did a bunch of concept art, modeling and messing around.

My main hobby now is testing games and my LAN Parties. If you live in Arizona I would invite you to come out and play some games!

Yeah. I dont have any certs or anything, and I was kicked out of school in the 10th grade (though, I still tested out of high school at 16). My resume is what got me a lot of my jobs.

I find time because I dont just do it for a living. Like you, I enjoy just being a nerd. hahaha. Im actually a musician that moonlights as a geek.

Im learning programming right now, because I want to get into game and application design. Specifically game design though.

Lets set up a VPN and do it to it. haha. we can use my VPS as the concentrater.
