Finally, got my Civ 3 to work.  Does have a loop in the music, but I just turn the volume way down.  Have tried two games to date, not finishing either, but so
far so good.  Have not yet downloaded the 1.29 patch.

Using Mint Mate 14 with Playonlinux 4.1.1 and wine version 1.5.26

All working very well, now. If music loops or game won't start I close it out and start over and all works fine. Have now completed 4 games and it looks and plays as well as it did
on Windows.

santa_klausi, I'm using Mint Mate 14 and Playonlinux 4.1.1 and I updated the wine version to 1.5.26. I gave my self extra video memory and manually set the graphics to 1024x768
and that was it. Oh, by the way I was able to do the same thing on the Gnome 3 version of Deepin.
