Making a new post with details.

I used to play LoL on my laptop with Windows7 and wanted to explore Ubuntu so I wiped my HD and installed it. Knowing my video card worked previously with League I know that I can make LoL work through Linux.

I installed LoL via PlayonLinux and it went fine. I can access everything but my problems starts right after champion select when it tries to load to full screen and load everyone up.

I dont even see the LoL logo that I remember it would just give me a popup saying:
"An unknown directx error has occured. Please make sure your video card supports shader model 2.0 and that it is using drivers from the manufacture."

That is what I get and even when I want to spectate a match. So for me it just seems like a video card error as the game wants to go into full screen mode.

Now, I have tried going into Software Sources and I tried ALL 7 of my video card drivers and restarting before trying them aswell to no avail.

I also followed this guide
http://techhamlet.com/2012/11/instal...-ubuntu-12-10/

and I uninstalled and reinstalled+updated my nvidia drivers.

NOW I am stuck that did nothing and one thing I would like to add but could not find it myself online was how to MANUALLY change the fullscreen to a fixxed size or whatever its called because maybe that will work.

I tried to go through my home folders via PlayOnLinux but I can't find the correct PATH to find where can I change the screen size OUT OF THE GAME.

If someone could tell me how to do that OR if they might have another resolution please post because I have been stuck for a few weeks now.
Please HELP.

Hi,
Do you mean Wine's virtual desktop?

Right-click on LoL shortcut > Configure Wine > Display tab > Emulate virtual desktop (and you can set the resolution below)
