I have created a script for my 5-disc Far Cry set. The installation goes through perfectly, but my system freezes when the Windows portion of the installation is complete. There's a WINE icon in my launcher menu (Unity interface), but I'm unable to do anything unless I Alt-Tab and close my PlayOnLinux windows. I check the debugger and get these two errors:
err:ole:marshal_object object doesn't expose interface {60e73571-8258-478b-bd66-a7c07319cc89}, failing with error 0x80004002
and
err:ole:ClientIdentity_QueryMultipleInterfaces IRemUnknown_RemQueryInterface failed with error 0x80004002
I've done some research on Google and I've tried some of their suggestions, but I haven't been able to solve the problem... can anyone give me a hand???

{60e73571-8258-478b-bd66-a7c07319cc89} seems to be associated with ISetupTransferEvents2, a component of InstallShield. There's a page about InstallShield in the Wine Wiki: http://wiki.winehq.org/InstallShield That's all I've found.

I changed the OS to Windows 98, and the installer runs perfectly. When I try to execute the game, it says that a debugger is detected and I need to close the debugger... any suggestions?

This is probably because this release of Far Cry is protected by a DRM, but we provide no help with the use of no-cd patches.

Just so you know, Petch, once I shut WINE down and set the icon for Far Cry under Windows XP emulation, it runs the game just fine. Not sure why is does what it does under 98.
