Hi,

I have looked at the forum for an answer, but the solutions I found does not work for me.

Here's my setup ;

I have a 24GB SSD and a 320GB SSD. ~/ and most of ~/home are on the SSD and things like /Documents, /Downloads, /Pictures, etc. are on HDD symlinked to /home. I did the same for .PlayOnLinux (I also repaired the PlayOnLinux's virtual drives link in /home) and everything seems well linked.

While trying to install Starcraft II, POL is creating SC2_WoL prefix and installing Wine 1.5.10 and Wine Gecko 1.7 x86. After that, I'm getting an error saying :

"Error: Wine seems to have crashed
If your program is running, just ignore this message"

Then I click "Next" a couple of times and I get a window where I can choose an installation method. I choose to use the Blizzard Downloader and I get the same error.  I click "Next" a couple of times again and get this error :

"Error: Binary not found!: Starcraft II.exe
Have you installed the program to the default location" I click "Next" again and get this error :

"Error: Binary not found!: Starcraft II Editor.exe
Have you installed the program to the default location" I click "Next" again and get this error :

"If you have a runtime error when running the game, open a terminal and type : echo 0|sudo tee /proc/proc/sys/kernel/yama/ptrace_scope" I click "Next" again and get this message :

"An error occured during the installation process
Do you want to send the bug to PlayOnLinux ?"

What am I doing wrong ?

Thanks

I forgot to precise that It was working when everything was in /home on the SSD but I did not have enought room for the installation.

I'm using Ubuntu 12.10

does the other drive have the same permissions and filesystem?

i mean if you symlink .PlayOnLinux to other drive thats ntfs format, it wont work.

you have to have ext4/ext3 or what ever you had in your linux system and the folder has to has same permissions as you had it when it was in your /home partition
accessible by your user.

Everything is in ext4 and all permissions seems ok.

When I put the installer on my HDD and try install, POL says me something like the file I'm trying to use is on a noexec folder (or something like that, I can't try again to reproduce the error at the moment, I'll try later)

Anybody have an idea of what I'm doing wrong?

The disk must be mounted with the noexec mount option.
Problem is, if it's not mounted by an explicit line in /etc/fstab, it must be mounted by implicit rules of udev/hal/udisks/udisks2/...
I failed to understand how it works before I got fed up.
