I like more old versions because the newest version of PlayOnLinux are to bureaucratic and heavy. During one year, i never logged on windows because all applications that i need could be easily installed. Even CryEngine 3 and Visual Studio 2010. But now, i simple cant use only Linux. With old versions, games run easily and with good performance. Crysis 2 for example, run with only 45% of capacity of my CPU.
With newest versions, some configurations is to bureaucratic, but things like install the "prerequisites" like direct x still easy. During a simple gameplay, error messages usually disrupt(note that error message rarely is showed in a real crash) and the newest versions is much heavy compared old versions.
Not that PlayOnLinux is useless, since that i install Debian in 3 years, i never thought that i can use only linux and with PlayOnLinux, i can use only Linux for one year. The newest versions still good for some applications. But play an FPS with random error messages disturbing or install a application non listed with the bureaucracy. If anyone tell me how use old versions, i be very grateful. I have the old version package but If i install a old version, i can`t install anything without a update.

With POL you can choose the wine version you want. See Tools/Manage wine versions. From wine 0.9.7 to the current version (1.5.24). But wine and PlayOnLinux are fare better today ... If you want to see error message, i recommend to launch playonlinux from a terminal: $ playonlinux
I recommend to install each windows software in a different wineprefix.

thanks, but i know how use wine old version. I like use old version of playOnLinux(not old version of wine) because as i said, the newest version is to bureaucratic and heavy. And if i use terminal to run PlayOnLinux, error messages will show anyway. PlayOnLinux is more user friendly today but it don`t mean that the newest is better. PlayOnLinux is a good idea. Even that newest version is worse than old version, PlayOnLinux still best Wine front end in my opinion. Edited by DarthVictor

Really it is not a good idea to keep old version. Script langage evolves and versions are easier and easier both for us and for you. If you find something wrong / disapointing with a new version, just tell us and we will find a way to make it better.

Thanks for u answer. It is impossible use old version because script language. Newest version probably have more functions and if i use old version, i can`t use any new function.
About suggestions, if is possible disable POL error messages, play an multiplier online or to test a best wine version for non listed application will be extreme more easy. About my reclamation about bureaucratic, is my fault, i don`t know how explain it but make the necessary configurations is more easy in newest versions. Anyway, thanks for you listen and help. Hi, About suggestions, if is possible disable POL error messages, play an multiplier online or to test a best wine version for non listed application will be extreme more easy.
I don't get that either, unless you start a program in debug mode the default mode in PlayOnLinux is still WINEDEBUG=-all, which should disable any logging from Wine. Or you're talking about error dialog boxen that appear after a program crash, or simply games that do not know how to exit with exitcode 0 when they end normally, and you should try
POL_Shortcut_QuietDebug "Name of Shortcut"
in PlayOnLinux console to keep it quiet. Maybe I didn't understand the issue, and we need more details to reproduce the problem. Personally all I wish for newer versions, from "bulkiness" point of view, is a low and constant CPU usage. Right now it starts low (over 1%, but behind firefox and skype for sure :p), but after a while can raise up to 30% of one CPU for still unknown reasons. Profiling is difficult though.
