Hi all,
Quick question, hope you can help; does PoL bypass the issues surrounding Wine on all Ubuntu 12.10 64-bit distro's which suffer the Gnome-Keyring PK11 kit issues? (Sorry for the lack of the exact message there but I don't have Wine currently installed but am wondering if I need to drop to a 32-bit 'buntu flavour to make things work...

Hi, Not as far as I know, I think the message you're referring to can be seen quite often: p11-kit: couldn't load module: /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/pkcs11/gnome-keyring-pkcs11.so: /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/pkcs11/gnome-keyring-pkcs11.so: Ne peut ouvrir le fichier d'objet
But what are its consequences? I thought it was just something used to deal with cryptography acceleration cards and had no consequence for >99.9% of computers. Edited by petch

That's the one, and thank you for your answer.
From what I've researched it seems to be anything requiring encrypted communications, so anything SSL based and suchlike. To be honest I don't know "all" of the implications, but it's quite possible that "that" is the reason certain game updaters etc won't work / multiplayer banning etc.
To be honest I haven't tried going much further than that because I'm not aware of the full impact; last thing I want to do is install a load of games only to find they don't work due to an error message I simply ignored :) So if it's generally not a problem maybe I should just try it.... novel idea :)
That said I'm tempted to move from 'buntu to something like Suse, but I believe most other distro's have problem running Steam native at the moment, so i'm a bit stuck...
