I'd like to do it without symbolically linking it

I find this question answered with mounting or symbolic linking the target directory. Is it possible to just change the Playonlinux configuration so that it always assumes the wineprefix directory is on another hard drive?
My Ubuntu 12.10 + /home are all on a very small SSD. Fast but small. My Steam directory with all of my awesome games are on /dev/sdb (which is mounted as /software from the root)
I wonder if this will be a feature to be added to Playonlinux or if I can modify the .conf files (if that exists) to do this?
Playonlinux is AWESOME! I'm going to commit to using it from now on. :-D

The answer hasn't changed; If you mount or symlink ~/.PlayOnLinux/wineprefix, any new prefix should be created on the target destination. Edited by petch
